Ballarat Kart Club

February club day

It was great to kick off the first club day yesterday
We had quite a few new racers learning the ropes and plenty lined up for the come and try.

It took us a while to get some engine gremlins sorted out for our 2 new cadets Abby and Will- but once they were going they both did a great job.

Mitch Arrow was the lucky winner of the Bunnings Voucher - a week after winning the first 2020 VCS tshirt.

It was a good days racing all round and we're looking forward to the March clubday already

Thanks to everyone that took part - we had a thoroughly enjoyable year and look forward to seeing all the racing next year!

It was also a ripper spring day for our last club day of the year on Sunday.

A good sized Combined Light class put on an energetic show, and we had some fun with those that registered for our Come and Try sessions after the racing.

End of year club day THIS Sunday Nov 24

Enjoy a free BBQ with friends as we present the 2019 club champions at the end of the day's racing.
A $50 Bunnings voucher will be up for grabs again for any karter or official to win on the day.

2019 VCS a huge success!

Another year and our biggest event is now behind us.
This weekend threw out many challenges to our club with rain, hail then sunshine and all this in the first half day.
A bit of work on Friday saw us able to guarantee the track was in good nick, and able to drain water. This allowed trouble free racing regardless of the downpours.
Moving into the Saturday and Sunday our members, friends and family kept the canteen ticking along nicely, the masses being fed, the toilets being serviced, the cars pulled out of bogs, and still regardless of the testing weather everyone was still smiling.
A very proud moment for our club who have pulled together, and once again shown that we can put on a great show.
Congratulations to the drivers that represented us on the track today regardless of your finishing positions, it was a tough gig out there.
A Huge thank you to the members and businesses that have supported us through our major Karting, and fundraising event for the year that sets us up for the following 12 months.
Well done all.
Mal Mason.

2019 club update

As we are not running club day today our officials and volunteers get a nice day off.

So its a good time to share a club update of what has been happening at your club in 2019.

There is a lot of work behind the scenes just so we can open the gate, but there is also a lot of work going on to get the club day culture going strong.

If you have been involved in anything at the club that we've missed, please let us know

Read the club update

August and September Upcoming events

NOTE: We will NOT  be running an August Clubday this month
Wimmera are running a club day on Saturday August 24, and several members will be racing there

We will post information of when the next Come and Try event is running when we have confirmed more details; but there will not be one in August.
(We should have another kart ready by that time too)

The September club day WILL go ahead and will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting.
We STRONGLY encourage all members to attend, as it is critical to the running of your club.

We then start a lot of work towards our Victorian Country Series Finale in November.
We will be calling on all members to be involved in any way they can and post more details of what we need in the lead up.

  1. July club day results
  2. June Club-Day, Sunday 30th June
  3. VCS Round 3 member results from South West Kart Club
  4. No May Club Day
