Final Club Day
This year we are planning something a bit different.
World Titles
- 2 x 5 min qualifying sessions
- 2 x 8 laps heats
- 1 x 10 lap pre final (Grid determined by combined heat results)
- 1 x 12 lap final. (final only counts)
Unfortunately there must be 3 genuine entry's per class to run this. If there are less than 3 they will drop the qualifying rounds.
Class’s on offer will be, Midgets, Rookies, Junior Nat Pro, Clubman Light, Clubman Heavy and Sportsman 125 restricted.
To make the day run as smoothly as possible we will need to follow a strict time table.
- Morning practice will run from 9:00 to 10:00 sharp, followed by drivers briefing at 10:05.
- First round of qualifying will start at 10:15, we should finish both rounds by 11:30am.
- Moving onto the heats which should take just over 1hr to complete we will stop for lunch at 12:45.
Other Races
The fun will continue through the lunch break, as always we will offer the annual
- MECHANICS RACE,
- LADIES RACE,
And this year something new,
- THE BALLARAT KART CLUB LEGENDS RACE.
All 3 will be a 6 lap race. Again we will need 3 genuine entry’s per class with certain criteria to be met to race.
BBQ and Presentations
At the end of racing we will hold our presentations for the day, followed by a BBQ tea.
After tea we will hold our end of year presentations and 4 new club champions will be announced. So stick around for a feed and chat with your fellow club members.
This year the club will provide all the meat and salad for tea all we ask is if you could bring a dessert to share it would be appreciated.
Santa
Again we will try and chase down Santa from his busy schedule and see if he can drop in and say hi, so bring the whole family to make it a great day.
The next committee meeting is Wednesday 7th September at 8:00pm in the Haddon club rooms.
