Congratulations to the winners, and thankyou to our army of officials and volunteers, and also the Haddon community.

Big events are absolutely NOT easy to run.
We all worked dusk till dawn for 2 days and still got through the weekend with most of our sanity intact.
So now it's time to kick our feet up for a bit.

We sincerely hope that whatever your final result, you had fun and enjoyed the challenge this weekend.

Each year, the Ballarat Kart Club takes the opportunity to recognise an exceptional volunteer that has gone above and beyond in their service to the club.
We are pleased to announce that this year’s club member of the year has been awarded to…Justin Malcom. Congratulations Justin!
Justin was the driving force in organising the clubs major raffle, which included an impressive array of prizes, including the first prize of an Arrow 6.2 and X30 kart package.

The club committee has made the difficult, but necessary, decision to relocate our upcoming and final round of the Victorian Country Series to the South West Kart Club in Cobden on the 18 & 19 November, 2023. This decision is based on the need to delay laying the new track surface.
Our members have done an AMAZING job in recent months and weeks in supporting working bees, allowing us to complete important works. Our civil contractor has done a great job in preparing the track base ready for asphalt – being able to see layout, albeit in red dirt, gets us excited!
Unfortunately, the weather has gotten the better of our timeline and we had to make the difficult decision to delay the opening. This is primarily due to the need for optimum temperature to lay the new surface, which will require time to cure before accepting traffic.
We know this is disappointing and we want nothing more than to reopen to members as soon as possible and allow the karting community to come along and experience our new track and events. It is however critical for our long-term success that we follow the advice of the asphalting contractor. This means relocating our VCS event.
The good news is that the asphalt works won’t be too far away, and with a preliminary Karting Victoria inspection having been completed, we are progressing to have members back on track as soon as possible.
Victorian Country Series competitors will see updated event information and promotions in the coming days. We thank the VCS commitee and South West Kart Club for working with us on this change and look forward to hosting you in Cobden for the final VCS round for 2023!
 

We had a great day at Wimmera kart club, with a glorious mid winter's day put on offer.
Everyone got a tonne of race laps, and there was some cool variety mixed in with the group formats.
We will have a race report and full results for you soon.

    The raffle will be drawn on August 19.
