Four club members headed off to Portland to compete in the VIC Closed Titles. In a weekend of tough racing all drivers performed credibly with results as follows:

Andrew Smith - 4th in Senior National Light

Josh Dunstone - 6th in Senior National Light

Drew Masterson - mid field in Clubman Light

Ben Beasley - 7th in Junior Clubman

Ex Ballarat club member Dale Beaton had a great meeting to win the Senior National Light Title

Round 5 of the Country Series was held on the 21st August 2005 at the Haddon Raceway. What an exciting weekend! Yes, we had four seaons in one day athough the rain eventually won out.

The highlight of the day was without question Dale Beatons' magnificent double header in winning the feature class,  the Clubman Pro (and picking up the Formula Ford Drive) and then also going on to win Clubman Light. Congratulations, Dale. Hard work, perseverence and talent ....

For the Ballarat contingent, it was a good day out for other drivers too. Rampaging Andrew Smith picked up 2nd in Junior National Pro; The Enforcer, Peter Renga finished third in Rotax Heavy; and in a 1-2, Luke 'Flip' Fong finished 1st and Bullet Ben Beasley finished second in Junior National Light.
